Musiqtone.com seeks the following candidates in the following regions:
East: 3-4
Midwest: 1 (any one can apply but must go through actual process of being selected!)
West/Southwest: 6
South/Southeast: 10-11
Looking for: Staff is open to male and female individuals ages 17 and over (must turn 17 by March 25, 2009 ), preferably from North America. International applicants will be judged on a case to case basis. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 17 UNLESS NOTED BY THE CUTOFF DATE.
Must have DECENT writing skills, a desire and love for music, and desire to work in music industry is a plus. Must be able to write without obvious bias and keep biases to a complete minimum in concert and album reviews and be able to communicate to musicians and bands effectively during interviews. Must also present professional attitude during live field assignments and also off the field at other events, especially those by those Musiqtone.com has promoted in the past. Must be able to take projects and assignments outside of specific music comfort zone and be able to cover indie and underground acts. THIS IS A PURELY VOLUNTARY POSITION SO THEREFORE THERE IS NO SALARY BUT THIS POSITION OFFERS MUCH MORE THAN MANY ENTRY-LEVEL JOBS IN THE INDUSTRY AND INTERNSHIPS.
Bonus skills include Myspace design (if anyone can do anything about the current Myspace design on our Myspace...we're all ears), promotional abilities (we still operate using word-of-mouth to spread this site), graphic design, scouting for music, and any we didn't mention...just mention it to us! |
