Personal Bio:
Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA, Katie spent most of her life absorbed in family, sports, and academic prowess. She graduated from Wilson High School with too many extracurricular activities to list. From there, she was determined to move away and experience new things, so she moved clear across Pennsylvania to the snow belt of the state, Erie, to attend Mercyhurst College on scholarship. She took up rowing over her freshman year, which she warrants as one of the most difficult things she has ever experienced. Fortunately, she learned a lot about herself and ended up with a NCAA trophy, which then led her to believe that she could make her dreams come true despite any circumstance. So, halfway through her sophomore year, she dropped everything and made the decision to transfer to pursue the dream that smacked her straight in the face literally out of nowhere: music business. She took a six month professional certificate program with Berklee College of Music, then moved her life down to Nashville, where she is now a senior at Belmont University.
Ever since she arrived in Nashville in August 2010, she has aspired to be a part of anything she can throw herself into concerning the music industry. She has ultimately kept herself busy, and she is taking on the role of a staff writer at Musiqtone.com to bring together her love for writing and helping to promote artists into one wonderful position. Her music tastes vary significantly, and she is very fond of finding local artists and small bands that deserve some legit spotlight. She enjoys traveling anywhere and everywhere, playing sports, making new friends, and living to see artists she believes in play on stage.
