This super talented young and dynamic pop/rock quintet from sunny Arizona called The Summer Set has definitely proven on their sophomore effort that it is never too early to evolve and adapt ones sound. Beginning life as a teenaged and even somewhat idealistic pop-punk fivesome out of the rich pop/punk scene of Arizona (The Maine, Jimmy Eat World), these kids have grown into an infectious, high-flying energetic and super-electric pop/rock quintet that has rocked and brought down every stage they hit on "The Dirty Work" tour with equally high flying and electric acts All Time Low, Yellowcard and Hey Monday. On top of that, they have added and mastered the art of incorporating storytelling into their music-- “There’s this Bruce Springsteen quote that always inspired me,” explains Brian Dales, frontman for The Summer Set. “He was talking about how ‘Thunder Road’ was the first song on Born to Run. He said it was an invitation to a story. I’ve always held on to that thought.”
Poised to hit superstardom sooner than later, Brian Dales, John and Stephen Gomez, Josh Montgomery and Jess Bowen are why Musiqtone.com has selected this talented pop/rock fivesome from Arizona a BAND YOU GOTTA KNOW!
Note: You can catch them back on the road again, true to their touring and road-tripping spirit on the Friday is Forever Tour with We The Kings, Hot Chelle Rae, The Downtown Fiction and Action Item at a venue near you this summer!
