The Summer Set announces spring headlining tour

By Alan Ho

The 2013 music season continues to get off to a hot start as another returning indie power announces a new spring tour.  Recently inked to indie heavyweights Fearless Records, AZ rockers The Summer Set announced today (January 9) of the Presents "Wake Up & Be Awesome Tour" and that it will kick off February 21 in Mesa, AR and run for 30 dates.  Their first North American headlining jaunt will take Go Radio, We Are The In Crowd and For The Foxes along with a yet-to-be announced special guest.

"I’m thrilled to announce that we’re going on tour with some of our favorite friends We Are The In Crowd, Go Radio, For The Foxes, and a special guest," explains lead singer Brian Dales in the press release. "It’s the last tour on our ‘Everything’s Fine’ cycle, so we’ll be playing our longest set ever, including songs we’ve never played before from both, "Love Like This" and "Everything’s Fine," as well as some brand new songs from our forthcoming record. Don’t miss out on this, it’s gonna be our coolest show yet!"

They are coming off a North American leg with fellow returning indie powers All Time Low and have been added to the lineup of the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds (UK) on May 28.  Also the band is making finishing touches to their new album, their third overall and their debut with Fearless.
