Fall Out Boy reunites, official

By Alan Ho

After months and probably a year or so of innuendo, rumors, speculation, just about everything you can throw into the water cooler, you can officially put it on the board:  Fall Out Boy is back.  The pop-punkers will begin their re-ascent into juggernaut status today with the release of a new single called “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) on iTunes.  In addition, the group’s new album will be released May 6 and May 7 on a global basis, which is the 10th year anniversary of their breakout debut Take This To Your Grave.

On top of that, the band will have a handful of comeback shows, beginning tonight (Feb 4) in their hometown of Chicago and will embark on a headliner that starts May 14 in Milwaukee and run through June 30, where it wraps up in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium.

Here is an official statement from the band on their official website:

A message from the band:
"when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.

the future of fall out boy starts now.

save rock and roll…"
