2013 might just well be the year that the boy band trend that engulfed all of pop music just 15 years ago is back and brighter than ever, for both new entrants and the veterans returning to claim former glory. And you can add slowly emergent entry Midnight Red, who officially have been active since 2009 but looks to make some noise this year in 2013 with their own brand of sweet dance moves to go along with the sweet vocal harmony!
Midnight Red, consisting of Colton Rudloff (plucked from YouTube), Anthony Ladao, Thomas Augusto, Eric Secharia (Thomas and Secharia both auditioned for Menudo in 2007) and Joey Diggs Jr., this group (originally called FLYTE) was signed in 2009 by Interscope after catching the eye of RedOne, Lady Gaga’s super-producer. It only took less than 24 months before the group landed a plum opening spot for the NKOTBSB super-tour in 2011 and got one of their songs used on the FOX Network hit series So You Think You Dance.
Now this dynamic young pop quintet is ready to explode in 2013 and are currently working on their long-simmering debut album, which is due out sometime this year!
