Pacific Northwest trio PeopleTank, made up of Jonathan Jones on guitar/vocals, Clem Cotugno on bass/vocals, and James Capponi on drums, has been causing furor in the Seattle grunge scene. The band recently released their first full-length, 13-track album Broken August 30, 2013, which can be accessed on the band Bandcamp page. They had help with the compilation from producer Jack Endino.
The band has been gaining steam performing on various Seattle stages. On songs like “Indecision” and “Disappear,” PeopleTank has a sound so reminiscent of The Chili Peppers and Nirvana combined. If they can break from that sound, however, and carve out their own aural presence, they will surely have the ability to be one of the greats. Their up-tempo, sonorous grunge sound is something to keep an ear out for in the near future, because they have potential to break out and expand their local fan base.
