It’s “All or Nothing,” right? OK bad pun. But the past 2, 3, even 4 years have seen some of the biggest boy bands the 90s and 2000s have ever seen return to the forefront. Like Backstreet Boys (technically never disbanded, but last album brought back Kevin Richardson), 98 Degrees and New Kids on the Block. Now, you can add O-Town to the list and once again *NSYNC fans, sorry, but as long as Justin Timberlake is riding his third wave of solo success, the rest of his guys have to wait even longer. Same goes for Dreamstreet (Jesse McCartneyt) but that door is comparatively more open than *NSYNC’s.
The group originally was pre-fabbed on the ABC reality show “Making the Band” in 2000 and spawned “Liquid Dreams” and “All Or Nothing.” Then came 2002’s attempt at breaking their pre-fab mold on sophomore release O2, which sold 257,000 copies.
Unfortunately for O-Town fans, key member Ashley Parker Angel will NOT be joining the reunion alongside Erik Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick and Dan Miller. The four have been confirmed to be tracking new music, their first in 12 years and according to Underwood to Billboard, “discussed a summer tour to perform our old songs and finally give the fans that they’ve been asking us for the last 10 years.”
In addition, Underwood has declared that “This isn’t just a reunion for us. It’s a new beginning.”
All right fans. Here’s a teaser. Enjoy.
