Jason Mraz announces “Yes” world tour; album release

By Alan Ho

On the heel of his upcoming album release on July 15, Grammy-winning singer songwriter Jason Mraz announced today (June 17) a few early details on the upcoming “Yes” world tour to coincide with the album release of the same name.  The tour will find him teaming up with his collaborators on the Yes album Raining Jane — the tour will commence in August with a series of intimate shows around North America and a few surprise multi-date/show runs in select cities that will be announced at a later time.  After the North American leg, Mraz will hit the other side of the Atlantic for shows around Europe that will take him to some of the most celebrated and historic venues like Royal Albert Hall in London, Paris’ Casino de Paris and Amsterdam’s Royal Theatre Carre.   Asian and Australian legs are confirmed, but details have not been revealed as of yet and South America will be scheduled for next year.

Yes is described by a label press release as “the most unexpected and accomplished collection of the San Diego-based troubadour’s already extraordinary career.”  The singer-songwriter will be ushering in a new track from the album every Monday and pre-orders of Yes will receive FREE downloads of every track he releases during “Mraz Mondays” leading up to July 15.

You can catch Mraz and Raining Jane on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” July 17 followed by a live set on Friday as part of NBC’s Today Show’s “Toyota Concert Series” at 30 Rock.
