One Direction announces fourth album, offers free song download

10557181_766355016752628_7973301280929681812_nDirectioners all over the world unite!  The now officially prolific pop fivesome have revealed today (Monday September 8) that they will release their FOURTH studio album in just three years on November 17 in a worldwide release via Syco/Columbia Records.  The album, titled Four will also feature a FREE, exclusive download of track “Fireproof” for 24 hours only on their official website!

“We’ve worked incredibly hard writing and recording [Four] whilst we’ve been on the road and we couldn’t have done it without your support,” the band wrote on their website. “As a special thank you for everything you guys have done for us we wanted to give you ‘Fireproof’ — it’s a track from the album and you can get it for free right now. You’ll be able to download it for free for the next 24 hours. We hope you enjoy it and we can’t wait for you to listen to the album in full. Thank you, you guys mean the world to us.”

The single “Fireproof” marks at least on first impression a relative departure from their previous fare, electing to go understated but still undeniably catchy.  Members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne got primary co-writing credit on this one.
