Rixton announces release of debut album, will join a tour in 2015

Already one of the year’s breakout acts and part of a continuing wave of acts from the UK, pop/rockers Rixton announced today (Monday September 22) that they will release their long awaited full length debut on January 6 on Schoolboy/Interscope.  The effort, titled Let The Road features songs mostly co-written by the group and their producer Benny Blanco (Maroon 5, Katy Perry) and one song written by fellow UK act Ed Sheeran.

The album will be available for a special D2C preorder on their official website on September 30 before making a general preorder via their digital partners on October 7th.  The album’s first single, “Wait On Me” has already been added to terrestial Top 40 and other pop radio outlets and is featured in the most recent AT&T campaign against texting and driving.

“Let The Road is something we’re incredibly proud of,” says Rixton’s Jake Roche in the press release.  Songs have survived 6 years to make it on this album, back when me and Danny were writing in the caravan having no idea where they would end up.  We feel incredibly humbled to be able to share this with our fans, and we hope you enjoy listening to it, just as much as we enjoyed making it.”

On top of that announcement, the group also announced that they will be joining rising pop superstar Ariana Grande for her upcoming headlining tour, which kicks off next February in Independence, MO.  The group is currently coming off sold out shows from their own headlining tour.

“Being asked to be Ariana’s special guest is a huge honour. We’re massive fans of her and her incredible talent and we’re so excited to play these prestigious venues all over America. We’re also very excited to play some new songs that fans haven’t had the chance to hear live yet,” says Rixton.
