Who: School Boy Humor
Where: Little Rock, Arkansas
For fans of: Metro Station, Cash Cash, Honor Society, All Time Low, Forever The Sickest Kids, Katy Perry
Why they are “bursting the bubble”: The Arkansas foursome, signed to Vagrant Records (home to bands like tourmates The Dangerous Summer, Dashboard Confessional, Alexisonfire and A Cursive Memory) brings forward an electric sound mix of alternative rock, punk, pop with an occasional flair for electronica beats and rather unconventional rhythms. Penchant for bigger-than-life hooks and electric guitar riffs helps the band achieve a rather accessible sound that can appeal to anyone from punk rock fans to alt-rock fans to fans of the current crop of teen-centric pop/rock acts flooding the teen market today. 2009 should be a huge year for Caleb (Vocals/keyboards), Phil (guitar/vocals), Anthony (vocals/guitar) and Greg (drums) as they get set to unleash what should be an electric debut album, a self titled effort due to drop Feb 24.
