Cody Simpson announces new album, due out in June

By Alan Ho

Now fully independent and free of major labels, Cody Simpson announced today (Wednesday April 15) that he will release his much anticipated third album and indie debut on June 23 via Coast House/Banana Boat.  Titled Free, the Cisco Adler-produced album marks a somewhat stark departure from his Atlantic days that featured a lot of synth-pop driven R&B tracks and showcases a more breezy, Jason Mraz/Jack Johnson type cool vibe.

On to the pre-order details here!  iTunes preorders will get instant free downloads of already released singles “Flower,” “New Problems” and “Thotful.”

Cody has recently made his SXSW debut and is currently wrapping up a handful of US dates before going off to Europe to tour.
