Who: Tyler Rich
For fans of: Sam Hunt, Hunter Hayes, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Scotty McCreery, Brett Eldredge
Where: Nashville, TN by way of Sacramento, CA
In a past heyday, you had Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley and all are still going strong now. In the 2010s, the emergences of the likes of Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, Scotty McCreery and Brett Eldredge look to continue the combined legacies of aforementioned fivesome. Could we be adding Tyler Rich to the mix?
We think certainly here on The Spotlight. Based out of the longtime bastion of country music, Nashville but raised in the Northern California town of Yuba City, CA (in the Sacramento area), Rich has been spinning his earnest take on modern country with a touch of the old school he was exposed to at age 8 when he got to see the legendary George Strait in concert. After plying his desired trade touring with bands all over the country, Tyler took the plunge to forge his own path.
This path has taken him on the road with some of country music’s biggest stars like Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Maddie & Tae and Dan + Shay. It initially culminated in his first single, titled “Radio” in 2015 that got to see airplay on various country music radio stations and an EP Valerie as well.
You can now catch this rising talent on tour, opening for Dustin Lynch on his “Hell of a Night” tour that kicks off March 23 in Greensboro, NC and finish in Denver on July 15.
